Integrated Management Systems (IMS) offer an effective solution to these issues, yet their successful implementation requires strategic alignment, organizational change, and emerging technologies such as AI and big data. This paper presents an extensive analysis of IMS in tourism, exploring its role in improving firm performance across financial, customer, internal, and learning dimensions. Using a mixed-method approach, this study analyzes survey responses from 49 Algerian tourism firms and provides in-depth qualitative insights. the paper critically examines why some tourism firms succeed in IMS adoption while others face significant challenges. The study concludes by offering innovative strategies for leveraging IMS, particularly cloud-based solutions, AI integration, and big data analytics, to drive performance and sustainability in the tourism sector.
