المستخلص: إذا بات من الأصول العقلية الكبرى عند (المناطقة) و(أصحاب فلسفة العلوم): (أن الحكم على شيء فرع عن تصوره) -: فإن من المتعذر، بل من المحال الوصول إلى أحكام دقيقة خالية من الأخطاء في أي علم كان- بدون التحديد الدقيق للمصطلحات التي تنبني عليها مباحثه ومسائله وأحكامه، إذ هي- بلا ريب- السبيل الحق والأمثل لدرك تلك التصورات. فإن أردت أن تستحكم معرفة ذلك في نفسك، وتزداد استبصارا فيه- فبك أن تنظر فيما كان من (علماء الحضارة الإسلامية)، فقد أظهر التصفح الموضوعي أنهم قد تمثلوا هذا الأصل حق تمثله؛ بما كانوا عليه من بصر ووعي كبيرين لأهمية المصطلحات وخطرها؛ وحين صرفوا إليها قدرا كبيرا من عنايتهم وجهدهم. من هنا يتبين للمحصل، ويتقرر في نفس المتأمل، لم كان غرض هذه الدراسة- الذي ترامت إليه بدءا وربعا، بتمثل منهجي الاستقراء والتحليل -: أن تعرف هذه الجملة بالتفصيل؛ نعني: تجلية طبيعة (مصطلحات العلوم والفنون والصناعات)، وإبراز خصائصها، وبيان فلسفة صكها عن بصر، من خلال التتبع الفاحص لأقاويل ثلة من جلة أهل العلم والنظر، والتأتي لها ومناقشتها ومثاقفتها. هذا، وقد أبانت الدراسة -: أن الحذاق علماء الحضارة الإسلامية تصورا فريدا لطبيعة هذه المصطلحات؛ وأنها تعد- في نظر جمهورهم- تبدلا عرفيا في استعمال الألفاظ اللغوية، أو وضعا ثانيا لها، على يد طوائف مخصوصة؛ وأن لهؤلاء العلماء أساليب دقيقة في طريقة وضعها وصوغها، ولا سيما باشتراطهم اتصافها بعدد من السمات التي لا يجوز أن تنفك عنها.

If it is one of the major rational principles among (logicians) and (philosophers of science) that (judgment about something is a branch of its conception), then it is indeed difficult, if not impossible, to reach precise judgments free from errors in any science without the precise definition of the terms on which its discussions, issues, and judgments are based, as they are undoubtedly the right and best way to grasp those conceptions. If you wish to deepen your understanding of this within yourself and gain greater insight into it, you should look into the (scholars of Islamic civilization), as objective examination has shown that they truly embodied this principle; they had great vision and awareness of the importance of terminology and its dangers, and they devoted a considerable amount of their attention and effort to it. From here, it becomes clear to the observer and is established in the mind of the contemplator why the purpose of this study- which has been pursued from the beginning and revisited- through the methodological representation of induction and analysis, is to define this phrase in detail; we mean: to clarify the nature of (the terms of sciences, arts, and industries), to highlight their characteristics, and to explain the philosophy of their creation with insight, through a thorough examination of the sayings of a group of esteemed scholars and thinkers, and to engage with and discuss them. This study has shown that the skilled scholars of Islamic civilization have a unique conception of the nature of these terms; and that, in the view of their audience, they are considered a customary change in the use of linguistic words, or a second placement for them, at the hands of specific groups. These scholars have precise methods in how they formulate and articulate them, especially by requiring that they possess a number of characteristics that must not be separated from them.
