المستخلص: Genetically modified foods and their protection by patent by the countries and multinationals that produce them, in order to achieve the highest rates of return, constitute a major risk for the environment in general and the health of consumers in particular, given the damage they cause. Therefore, countries bear a great responsibility to face this danger, to protect and valorize their genetic resources, and must find preventive and dissuasive mechanisms to provide the necessary legal protection to the consumer in particular against this technological advance.
