This study aims to highlight the importance of the contemporary criminal policy adopted by the Algerian legislator in establishing the system of criminal reconciliation. This system defines its scope and mechanisms for application in order to reduce the number of cases brought before the judiciary beyond its capacity and resources. Criminal reconciliation is considered an effective means to enhance efficiency and justice in handling misdemeanor and infraction cases. It seeks to resolve disputes without the need for lengthy traditional judicial procedures. Therefore, expanding the use of this system has become necessary, as it is regarded as one of the key solutions to address the crisis in criminal justice. |
