|b The phenomenon of moral and sexual harassment at school and/or at work in Africa has recently received a great deal of attention. This article will summarize the main causes and consequences that some sub-Saharan victims have experienced in their daily lives, and the suffering they have had to endure. In particular, it will highlight the various individual strategies adopted by some African citizens, victims of violence at school and/or at work in their countries of origin - based on the qualitative method (Focus group) - and thus underline the importance of understanding the phenomenon from a gender perspective, concluding with some thoughts in terms of raising awareness to overcome this calamity. What is harassment, and how can we identify it in the workplace or at school? What are its various risk factors and circumstances? What impact does it have on the well-being of victims? And how can we overcome it in order to guarantee a certain degree of internal peace in African countries? These are just some of the questions we aim to answer in our article.
|d Une attention toute particulière a été portée ces derniers temps au phénomène du harcèlement moral et sexuel à l’école et/ou au travail dans le continent africain. Le présent article résumera les principales causes et conséquences que certaines victimes subsahariennes ont subies dans leur vie quotidienne et les souffrances qu’elles ont eu à endurer. Il mettra particulièrement en avant les différentes stratégies individuelles adoptées par quelques citoyens africains, victimes de la violence à l’école et/ou au travail dans leurs pays d’origine - en se basant sur la méthode qualitative (Focus group) - et soulignera ainsi l’importance de la compréhension du phénomène au regard d’une perspective de genre en terminant par quelques réflexions en termes de sensibilisation pour pouvoir surmonter cette calamité. Qu’est-ce que donc le harcèlement et Comment l’identifier dans le milieu de travail ou alors dans un établissement scolaire? Quels sont ses différents facteurs de risque ainsi que ses circonstances? Quelles sont ses retombées sur le bien-être des victimes? Comment pouvoir le surmonter en vue de garantir une certaine paix interne dans les pays africains? Telles sont presque les questions que nous nous donnons à répondre dans notre article.
