|a تتميز منطقة غرب إفريقيا بموقع استراتيجي، وثروات طبيعية متنوعة لها أهميتها على الصعيد العالمي، ولكنها تعاني من مشكلات عدة أبرزها وجود حركات إرهابية ومتطرفة أثرت بشكل كبير على أمن واستقرار دول غرب إفريقيا سياسيا، وأمنيا، واقتصاديا، واجتماعيا؛ ونظرا لمحدودية إمكانات هذه الدول اضطرت إلى الاستعانة بالقوى الدولية لمحاربة الإرهاب فيها، ويبرز في هذا الخصوص الولايات المتحدة وفرنسا.
|b The West African region is distinguished by its strategic location and diverse natural resources that are important on the global level, but it suffers from several problems, the most prominent of which is the presence of terrorist and extremist movements that have greatly affected the security and stability of the West African countries politically, security-wise, economically and socially. Given the limited capabilities of these countries, they have been forced to seek the help of international powers to fight terrorism in them, and the United States and France stand out in this regard.
