|a تهدف الدراسة الحالية إلى تقدير الاحتياجات النفسية والاجتماعية والاقتصادية، لمرضى التصلب المتعدد من منظور الخدمة الاجتماعية، بالكشف عن واقع الخدمات المقدمة لهؤلاء المرضى، وتحديد المعوقات التي تحول دون إشباع هذه الاحتياجات؛ ولتحقيق هذه الأهداف استخدمت الدراسة منهج دراسة الحالة، وبلغ حجم العينة (۹) من العاملين بجمعية وسم للتصلب المتعدد، اعتمدت الدراسة على المقابلة شبه المقننة أداة لجمع البيانات، وتوصلت إلى عدد من النتائج، أبرزها: توفر جمعية وسم عدة خدمات متنوعة في الجوانب الصحية والاجتماعية والنفسية والتأهيلية، ولكنها غير كافية، كما يعد حصول المرضى على بطاقة التسهيلات في المراحل المبكرة للمرض، من أبرز احتياجات المرضى، وكشفت نتائج الدراسة أن من أبرز الصعوبات التي تحد من إشباع احتياجات المرضى جهل أفراد المجتمع بالمرض، وفي الختام قدمت الدراسة تصورا مقترحا في ضوء النتائج التي توصلت إليها.
|b This study is about assessing psychological, social, and economic needs of patients with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) from a Social Work perspective. This study aims to reveal the reality of services provided to MS patients and to identify obstacles that hinder the fulfillment of their needs. To achieve these objectives, the study used a case study methodology, with a sample size of nine employees at “Wasm Association for Multiple Sclerosis”. The study utilized a semi-structured interviews for data collection. The results highlighted several findings such as Wasm Association provides various services in health, social, psychological, and rehabilitation aspects, but they are insufficient. Additionally, the primary need of MS patients was obtaining a facilitation card in the early stages of the disease. The study revealed that the major challenges in meeting MS patients' needs is lack of awareness about MS among community members. In conclusion, the study proposed a framework based on the findings.
