|a هدفت هذه الدراسة إلى التعرف على ظاهرة العنف ضد المسنين واتجاهات المجتمع السعودي نحوها كدراسة وصفية مطبقة على عينة من طالبات جامعة الملك عبد العزيز، واعتمدت الدراسة على منهج المسح الاجتماعي للعينة، وتم جمع البيانات الأولية للدراسة من خلال إعداد استبانة مكونة من (32) عبارة تم توزيعها على أفراد عينة الدراسة البالغ عددهم (206) مفردة وقد تم اختبار فرضيات الدراسة من خلال تفريغ بيانات الاستبانة وتحليلها بواسطة برنامج الحزم الإحصائية (SPSS) وتوصلت نتائج الدراسة إلى أن أهم الأسباب التي تؤدي إلى العنف ضد المستين هي الأسباب الاجتماعية، كما أن العنف اللفظي هو الشكل الأكثر انتشارا، وأبرز آثار العنف ضد المسلين هي الآثار النفسية. وفي ضوء نتائج الدراسة، قدمت الباحثتان عددا من التوصيات، منها: توعية المكلفين برعاية المسنين بمراقبتهم بصورة دائمة وعدم تركهم بمفردهم مع الأشخاص الأخرين، وضرورة الاهتمام بالتنشئة الاجتماعية الصحيحة لأفراد المجتمع في جانب تعاملهم مع المسنين، وتحسين الموارد المادية للقائمين على رعاية المسنين.
|b This study aimed to identify violence against the elderly phenomenon and the attitudes of Saudi society towards it as a descriptive study applied to a sample of King Abdulaziz University students.. The study used the social survey method، and the primary data of the study was collected by preparing a questionnaire consisting of (32) phrases. The questionnaire was distributed to the study sample that was consisting of (206) individuals. The collected data was tested and analyzed using the Statistical Packages for Social Sciences (SPSS). The results of the study concluded that the most important reasons that lead to violence against the elderly are social causes, and verbal violence is the most prevalent form, and the most prominent effects of violence against the elderly are psychological effects. Recommendations, including: educating those charged with caring for the elderly to monitor them on a permanent basis and not to leave them alone with other people, and the need to pay attention to the correct social upbringing of community members in their dealings with the elderly, and improve the material resources of those caring for the elderly.
