|a ما زالت شخصية جراح الأندلس أبي القاسم الزهراوي ملهمة لكل البشرية، وما زال مؤلفه الشهير (التصريف لمن عجز عن التأليف) حجة على مر العصور تثبت علو كعب الحضارة الإسلامية بشكل عام والأندلسية بشكل خاص في إثراء المنتوج الفكري للبشرية عامة وفي العلوم الطبية خاصة. إلا أن السيرة الشخصية للزهراوي فاتتها أقلام كتاب السير والتراجم من التفنيد والإسهاب، وحتى من الذين واكبوا حياته أو ممن أرخوا للقرن الخامس الهجري، وبقيت هذه السيرة عبارة عن نثرات أوردتها الكتب بسطور قليلات، شابها الكثير من المبالغة والتأويل حينا، ومن الحشو دون مراجع راسخة حينا آخر. بل إنها فتحت المجال لبعض كتاب الغرب للتدليس على أصول الشخصية العربية القحة، وإلى نسب معارفه وابتكاراته إلى غيره في ما تلى من القرون.
|b The personality of the Andalusian surgeon Abu al-Qasim al-Zahrawi continues to inspire all of humanity, and his famous work "Al-Tasrif li-man 'Ajiza 'an al-Tatleef" remains a timeless testimony across the ages, affirming the elevated status of Islamic civilization in general, and Andalusian civilization in particular, in enriching the intellectual output of humanity as a whole, and especially in the field of medical sciences. However, the personal biography of al-Zahrawi has been overlooked by the pens of biographers and historians in terms of detail and elaboration, even by those who lived during his time or documented the events of the fifth Hijri century. His biography remains scattered in a few lines, often accompanied by exaggeration and interpretation, and at times filled with unverified information. Moreover, it has provided an opportunity for some Western writers to distort the origins of the Arab personality, attributing his knowledge and innovations to others in the subsequent centuries.
