تناولت الدراسة (الأهمية الاستراتيجية لدولة جنوب السودان في شرق أفريقيا)، وتمثلت أهداف الدراسة، في التعرف على: المميزات الاستراتيجية لدولة جنوب السودان، الأهمية الاستراتيجية لمنطقة شرق أفريقيا، آفاق الأهمية الاستراتيجية لدولة جنوب السودان، العلاقات بين جنوب السودان والدول المحورية قيشرق أفريقيا. وتتلخص مشكلة الدراسة، في السؤال الرئيس: ما هو مستقبل الأهمية الاستراتيجية لدولة جنوب السودان في شرق أفريقيا؟ ومنه تتفرع الأسئلة المتمثلة في: ما هي المميزات الاستراتيجية لدولة جنوب السودان؟ ما هي عناصر الأهمية الاستراتيجية لشرق أفريقيا؟ ما هي طبيعة العلاقات بين جنوب السودان والدول المحورية في شرق أفريقيا؟. واتبعت الدراسة المنهج الوصفي التحليلي، كطريق للوصول إلى معالجة المشكلة. توصلت الدراسة إلى نتائج، منها: أن دولة جنوب السودان تتوافر لها مقومات استراتيجية تمكنها أن تكون دولة محورية مؤثرة في شرق أفريقيا. أن تحقيق مكانة إقليمية لدولة جنوب السودان، يتطلب تحقيق الاستقرار الداخلي والانسجام الاجتماعي وحل نهائي للصراعات الداخلية. وقدمت الدراسة عددا من التوصيات، منها: على دولة جنوب السودان العمل على استثمار الثروات الطبيعية والموارد الاقتصادية التي تذخر بها، حتى تتحقق لها المكانة الإقليمية المنشودة. العمل على وضع استراتيجية كفيلة بتحقيق الانسجام الاجتماعي وتضع حداً للصراعات الداخلية.
The study dealt with the study (the strategic importance of the State of South Sudan in East Africa), and the objectives of the study were to identify: the strategic features of the State of South Sudan, the strategic importance of East Africa, the strategic importance of South Sudan, the relations between South Sudan and the pivotal countries of East Africa. The problem of the study is summarized in the main question: What is the future of the strategic importance of the state of South Sudan in the east? From this branch the questions of: What are the strategic features of the State of South Sudan? What are the elements of importance to East Africa? South Sudan is pivotal in the east Africa?. The study followed the descriptive analytical approach, as a way to reach a solution to the problem. The study reached results, including: The State of South Sudan has strategic elements that enable it to be a pivotal and influential country in East Africa. Achieving a regional position for the State of South Sudan requires achieving internal stability, social harmony and a final solution to internal conflicts. The study made a number of recommendations, including: The State of South Sudan should work on investing the natural resources and economic resources that it reaps, in order to achieve the desired regional status. Work on developing a strategy to achieve social harmony and put an end to internal conflicts.
