المستخلص: استهدفت هذه الدراسة للتعرف على دور الأخصائي الاجتماعي الطبي كما يراه الأطباء، وذلك من خلال تحديد الدور المهني للأخصائي الاجتماعي في المستشفى، كما تسعى لتحديد المعوقات التي تواجه الأخصائي الاجتماعي في المستشفى والتي تعزى إلى (الأخصائي الاجتماعي، والعاملين والإدارة، والإمكانيات والموارد)، ومن خلال الإطار النظري، ونتائج الدراسة سوف يتم الخروج بمقترحات لتفعيل دور الأخصائي الاجتماعي الطبي في المستشفيات، كما استعانت الباحثتان بمنهج المسح الاجتماعي بطريقة الحصر الشامل، لأنه يعد من أنسب المناهج لاستطلاع أراء المبحوثين واتجاهاتهم بهدف الخروج بنتائج يمكن تطبيقها على الواقع والاعتراف بالمهنة في المجال الطبي، وقد قامت الباحثتان بتصميم أداة الاستبيان التي تم توزيعها على أفراد عينة الدراسة ولم تصل الاستجابة إلا من ۱۱۰ من الأطباء علما أن إجمالي عددهم (۸۳۰) طبيب وطبيبة من السعوديين وغير السعوديين في منطقة مكة المكرمة والمتمثلة في محافظة جده في ثلاثة من المستشفيات الحكومية والخاصة بالمنطقة، وكشفت نتائج الدراسة فيما يتعلق بدور الأخصائي الاجتماعي الطبي كما يراه الأطباء أن أكثر الأدوار بروزا هو كتابة التقييم الاجتماعي الخاص بالمريض "أي أن دور الأخصائي الاجتماعي كجامع للبيانات بمتوسط (٢,٥٣) وهذا يدل على مدى مهنية الأخصائي الاجتماعي فيما يخص صميم عمله، وأقل الأدوار ظهورا هو. مشاركة الفريق الطبي في المحاضرات التثقيفية" أي دور الأخصائي الاجتماعي كمدعم بمتوسط (٢,٢٥) وقد يرجع ذلك إلى عدم وجود إجراءات وسياسات تلزم باستدعاء الأخصائي الاجتماعي ضمن الفريق الطبي للاشتراك معهم في المحاضرات التثقيفية، أما فيما يتعلق بمعوقات دور الأخصائي الاجتماعي الطبي اتضح من استجابات الأطباء في المستشفيات أن أكثر المعوقات ظهورا هو قلة المعرفة والخبرة بالأمراض وطبيعتها بمتوسط (٢,٤١) ويرجع ذلك لصعوبة إلمام الأخصائي الاجتماعي بجميع الأمراض، وفيما يخص المقترحات تبين أن أكثر المقترحات أهمية من وجهة نظر الأطباء هو توعية الأطباء بدور الأخصائي الاجتماعي ضمن الفريق الطبي، وعليه توصلت الدراسة لعدد من المقترحات والتوصيات التي لها علاقة بفاعلية واقع دور الأخصائي الاجتماعي الطبي ضمن الفريق العلاجي.

This study aimed to identify the role of the medical social worker as seen by doctors, by defining the professional role of the social worker in the hospital. It also seeks to identify the obstacles facing the social worker in the hospital, which are attributed to (the social worker, workers, management, capabilities and resources). Through the theoretical framework and the results of the study, proposals will be made to activate the role of the medical social worker in hospitals. The researchers also used the social survey method using the comprehensive inventory method, because it is one of the most appropriate methods for surveying the opinions and attitudes of the respondents with the aim of coming up with results that can be applied to reality and recognizing the profession in the medical field. The researchers designed the questionnaire tool that was distributed to the study sample members, and the response only reached 110 doctors, noting that the total number is (830) male and female doctors from Saudis and non-Saudis in the Makkah Al-Mukarramah region, represented by Jeddah Governorate in three government and private hospitals in the region. The results of the study revealed regarding the role of the medical social worker as seen by doctors that the most prominent role is writing the special social assessment The least prominent role is participation of the medical team in educational lectures", i.e. the role of the social worker as a supporter with an average of (2.25). This may be due to the lack of procedures and policies that require summoning the social worker within the medical team to participate with them in educational lectures. As for the obstacles to the role of the medical social worker, it became clear from the responses of doctors in hospitals that the most prominent obstacle is lack of knowledge and experience with diseases and their nature" with an average of (2.41). This is due to the difficulty of the social worker's familiarity with all diseases. As for the proposals, it became clear that the most important proposal from the doctors' point of view is to educate doctors about the role of the social worker within the medical team. Accordingly, the study reached a number of proposals and recommendations that are related to the effectiveness of the reality of the role of the medical social worker within the treatment team.
