المستخلص: تهدف الدراسة للكشف عن أبرز المعوقات النفسية التي تحول دون انخراط أفراد الأمة في العمل الخيري والإسهام فيه من خلال تناول الأسباب وطرح الحلول، إن العمل الخيري سمة دين الإسلام الذي يقوم على التراحم والتكاتف، وتم تناول ذلك من خلال معرفة الأسباب، ثم العلاج عن طريق التهيئة لتلك الأعمال، مع عرض الأساليب التحفيزية لذلك. فمن الأسباب النفسية المانعة من الانخراط في العمل التطوعي: الغفلة عن الأجر الأخروي العظيم المترتب على تلك الأعمال. وكذلك الرهبة من المجهول، فالإنسان عدو ما يجهل، ومن ذلك عدم الثقة بالذات، وأيضاً عدم الثقة بالمؤسسة الخيرية، ومنها العائق الوحيد، ويتمثل في الانشغال بالعمل الرسمي، أو الانشغال بالدراسة، أو الانشغال بالأعمال التطوعية الهامشية، ومنها الكبر (تضخيم الذات)، ويعني أن مركزه الاجتماعي أو مركزه الوظيفي يحول دون انخراطه في الأعمال التطوعية على الرغم من إدراكه لمسيس الحاجة إلى خدماته. إن من أساليب العلاج لهذه المشكلة تهيئة المتقدمين وتدريبهم قبل انخراطهم في الأعمال التطوعية، ويتمثل ذلك في: التعريف بالأنشطة ومجالاتها وميادينها وما تجلبه من مسرات، وما يكتنفها من الصعوبات، كذلك التدريب لقطاع كبير من المهتمين بالعمل التطوعي ومن ثم ترشيح من يجتاز منهم التقويم بعد تدريبهم. كذلك التدرج على ممارسة الأعمال التطوعية حسب صعوبتها وفاعليتها، وأخيرا استخدام طرق التحفيز وهو باب واسع وله طرق متعددة تسهم في استمرار الفرد في الأعمال التطوعية. ومن والوسائل التحفيزية النفسية المؤدية للانخراط والبذل والتضحية في الأعمال التطوعية ما يأتي: تذكير المسلم بواجبه في الشعور بالجسد الواحد، وتذكيره بالأجر المترتب على مثل هذه الأعمال في الدنيا والآخرة، وكذلك التعرف على واقع الفئات المحتاجة من خلال المعايشة الفعلية والمشاهدة على أرض الواقع، وأخيراً عرض الجهود المبذولة من قبل الأعداء وأصحاب المبادئ المنحرفة في نصرة باطلهم، مما ينعكس إيجابياً على بث الحماس لتجاوز تلك المعوقات. وقد ختم البحث ببعض المقترحات والتوصيات ذات العلاقة بموضوع البحث.
