عرفت البشرية منذ زمن بعيد المواد المسكرة والمخدرة وجرى استعمالها لأغراض شتى ثم أضحى تعاطيها في الزمن المعاصر ظاهرة مأسوية لما تسببه من تدمير الإنسان جسمياً ونفسيا واجتماعيا وأخلاقيا. وتبديدًا لاقتصاد البلاد وانتشارًا لبعض الأمراض والانحرافات والجرائم والحوادث في المجتمع. فقد تناولت هذه الورقة البحثية العديد من الموضوعات ذات الأهمية بموضوع إدمان المخدرات ألا وهى مفهوم الإدمان، ومراحله، وخصائصه إضافة إلى معرفة أنواعه ما بين طبيعية مثل الحشيش والأفيون والتبغ، والصناعية مثل الخمر والمورفين والهيروين والتخليقية (الصناعية) مثل العقاقير المنشطة، والمنبهات، والعقاقير المنومة والمهلوسة وغيرها الكثير والكثير، وكيفية حدوثه لدى الفرد، كذلك معرفة العوامل المؤدية إلى حدوث الإدمان وتتبع تطور عملية الإدمان، ومؤشرات الإدمان والأضرار الناتجة عنه وأثره على عملية التعلم، وتوضيح التفسيرات النظرية له، وطرح موقف الدين الإسلامي من ظاهرة الإدمان على المخدرات، إضافة إلى تبيان النتائج المدمرة للإدمان ثم طرح كيفية مواجهتها عن طريق الأسرة وجماعة الأصدقاء والمدرسة والجماعة وأبنية المجتمع المختلفة، وعلاجها ومحاولة القضاء عليها انطلاقاً من الآية القرآنية التي فحواها (ولا تُلْقُوا بِأَيْدِيكُمْ إلَى التَّهْلُكَةِ) سورة البقرة: الآية 195، لأن ظاهرة الإدمان على المخدرات أصبحت مشلكة تهدد جميع الشرائح البشرية على السواء في المجتمع الواحد. \
Lon time ago, people knew alcoholics and drugs and they used them for different purposes. Nowadays, addiction became a miserable phenomenon for what it causes like destroying the human being physically, socially, psychologically, and morally. Also, for the great loss that it brings to the country's economy, and that it helps in the spread of some diseases, immorals, crimes, and accidents in the society. This research deals with a lot of important subjects related to drugs addiction like the definition of addiction, its levels, and its characteristics. Also, it presents kinds of addiction like Hashish, Opium, and Tobacco, which are natural kinds, and Synthetic kinds like wine, Morphine, and Heroin, and industrial kinds like tonics, stimulants, medicines that cause sleep and hallucination and many others, The research also shows how addiction happens to anyone, the factors leading to it, and traces the progress of this process, We can also know the signs of addiction, the harms coming from it, its effect on the process of learning, and the theoretical explanation of it. Besides, the research presents the attitude of the Islamic religion towards drugs addiction, and it shows the destructive results of drugs. Then, it explains how we can face this phenomenon through family, friends , school, university, and different social sectors. On the same time, we can know how to treat and stop addiction, supported by the verse in the holy Qur'an that means, ‘‘Do not Throw yourselves into destruction’’ – Surat El-Bakara, verse 195. This is because drugs addiction became a great problem threatening all humans of all ranks at the same society. \
