المستخلص: The research consists of a preamble and three chapters. In the preamble, the writer explains the meaning of Hymen stating that the meaning differs depending on the difference of environments and customs. In addition, he explains the surgery of Hymen Repair. Chapter I is devoted to the ruling of patching the hymen; it consists of two sections. Section I deals with the case in which hymen is removed by sexual intercourse. He states the prohibition of patching the hymen when it is removed through sexual intercourse in marriage. He also states the ruling of patching the hymen when it is removed through illegal sexual intercourse. He permits the patching when the woman is forced to commit adultery and when she commits it freely provided that it is not a common practice of her, for the general terms of the Islamic Shari'ah is to cover people' faults. He prohibits it for a woman known for practicing adultery since the terms of privacy are not applicable in her case unless she acquires a new state that makes her liable to it. Section II discusses the ruling of patching when the hymen is removed without sexual intercourse as in case of violent falling, surgical mistake, or inserting a hard element into that area; he permits the patching in such case. Chapter II is devoted to discuss the arguments of the opponents of patching the hymen. The writer thoroughly refutes each of these arguments. Chapter III deals with the rulings of the surgeon [physician] carrying out the patching surgery. It explains in detail the ruling of carrying out such operation, stating the permissibility of doing it in the cases approved by the research. It also deals with what the physician should do regarding the cases he examines, and that he does not have to ask the woman seeking to patch her hymen about the cause of hymen removal, in accordance with the principle of well-thinking that the Shari'ah has encouraged and emphasized upon.
