|b The present paper explores the recent Moroccan elections and their general context. They are believed to have come as a practical response from the royalty to the public protest in the Arab region aiming to solve the problem of power practice in the kingdom. \ The paper then moves to discuss the results of the legislative elections in which the Justice and Development Party won 107 seats by 27%, followed by the Independence Party which got 60 seats by 15%. \ These JDP results are compared with those in the 2007 elections, reviewing reasons for the party’s failure last time to gain a majority in contrast with its current success. It is argued that this time the JDP has a powerful organizational structure. In addition, the general political atmosphere in the country has changed due to the latest constitutional reforms. \ To conclude, this seems to be the last in the reform series of the post-Arab-spring era. All political parties, social movements, intellectuals and others are required now to ponder on the future of Morocco in light of the new situation createdin the 2011 elections.
