المستخلص: The strategy for up-grading non-oil exports is of great im-portance due to its ability to ensure foreign currency, to in-crease the activity size of economic institutions and potentialities of international economic order. Developing countries, especially oil exporting countries such as Algeria have recognized the fact that its dependency on only one export com-modity does not meet efficiently its economic developmental goals due to instubility of international oil market. To achieve the aim, thus the study analysed and elabo-rated on the following aspeetsi 1.the importance of export sector to Algerian economy. 2.The present status of Algerian exports. 3.The impact of export sector development on econom-ic growth. 4.Suggested policies and programmes to develop non-oil exports.
