|b The absence of accurate, comprehensive and up to data and information leads to shortage of meaningful studies on labor markets and related issues \ This study presents the realities and constraints of labor statistics (unemployment, immigration, and occupational injuries), and its importance in planning processes, and creating opportunities to increase efficiency of the labor market. \ The study recommended the following: \ -Rely on household surveys in accordance with international standards, (hey are more appropriate to measure unemployment. \ -\ Use a uniform pattern of concepts and terminology in implementing surveys covering all Arab countries. \ -\ Unify time and duration of the survey in the Arab countries. \ -\ Each state is to prepare its special questionnaire in line with the principles of measurement in the Arab countries and the international standards. \ Well train and prepare the surveyors especially on collecting data and information through clear concepts and concrete questions. \ Provide the necessary support to the Arab studies and provide them with the correct statistics by local actors. \ Spread employment offices and unemployment insurance funds within the country. \ Develop and complete administrative central records as one of the most important sources of statistics, and develop the statistical units in the ministries and public institutions, and assign the central institution of statistics to supervise this process. \ Pay attention to the statistics of labor migration, formal and informal. \ Meet the needs of standard national and international labor statistics including the size of labor force (Statistics on employment and unemployment, hours of work, and turnover of work, labor migration), and standard of living (wages, income and employment) in order to meet the requirements for membership of the international institutions. \ Meet current and future end-users' need of labor force statistics.
