تعاني الأمة العربية من أزمات متصاعدة وتحديات داخلية وخارجية كبيرة، امتدت آثارها فشملت الجوانب السياسية والاجتماعية والاقتصادية والثقافية. وظهرت هذه الأزمات على هيئة صراع حاد مع الزمن، تسعى الأمة لردم فجوة التخلف والتفاوت الحضاري التي أبعدت المجتمع العربي عن ركب العصر، وتعمل من أجل إذكاء عوامل نهوضها من جديد. وتواجه الهوية العربية العديد من التحديات المصيرية، بعضها قديمة كالشعوبية وبعضها حديثة كالاستعمار والصهيونية والتجزئة والتخلف، وبعضها راهنة كالعولمة والأمركة. وعلى الرغم من اختلاف مصادر هذه التحديات، إلا أن جميعها يصب في مجرى واحد هو القضاء على الهوية القومية العربية، ومحاولة فك الروابط بين العروبة والإسلام وضرب كل منهما بالآخر. وتقع مسؤولية حماية الهوية العربية على المربين من أساتذة الجامعات العربية في مقاومة التحديات التي تواجه الهوية العربية وفي مقدمتها العولمة وإن يكون ذلك في تعاملهم مع العلم والمعرفة من خلال الرابطة الإنسانية البعيدة عن ما تفرضه العولمة من التعامل المادي التي تحول الطالب إلى زبون فلابد من أن ينطلق التعامل من أسس إنسانية وقومية، والشعور بالمسؤولية بأننا نعيش في عالم جديد يعمل على إلغاء خصوصيتنا العربية بحجج واهية وغير منطقية. ولا تقتصر مسؤولية المؤسسات الرسمية في حماية الهوية العربية بل يتطلب من مؤسسات المجتمع المدني والإعلام والكتاب ومن الجميع العمل على إذكاء معالم الهوية العربية ومواجهة العولمة، والعمل على تقوية أواصر الأسرة وغرس معالم الأصالة العربية الإنسانية الأصيلة وإن التمسك بالهوية العربية، تعد دعوة غير عنصرية، وغير متعالية، بل إنها دعوة تعمل على تأصيل التضامن الجماعي بين أبناء المجتمع الواحد. فهي تجمع ولا تفرق، تقوي ولا تضعف، إنسانية وليست عنصرية.

In spite of the different sources of these challenges, but all is in one course, is to eliminate the Arab national identity, and to try to break the links between Arabism and Islam, and hit each other. The responsibility to protect Arab identity from the educators, university professors in the Arab resistance to the challenges facing the Arab identity in the forefront of globalization and that it is in dealing with science and knowledge through the Association of humanity away from the deal imposed by the globalization of the material that transforms the student to the customer. Must take off from the deal of the foundations of humanity and nationalism, and sense of responsibility that we live in a world of new works to eliminate our privacy Arab flimsy and illogical.
