تنهض هذه الدراسة على أساس معرفة جدلية العلاقة الرابطة بين السياق والدلالة في اللغة العربي، وقد اتخذ الباحثان من النص القرآني أنموذجا تطبيقيا لمعرفة مدى مصداقية الحقائق العلمية التي يمكن الوصول إليها، ونقصد بالجدلية- هنا- هي علاقة التأثير والتأثر ما بين (السياق) الذي ترد فيه اللفظة و(دلالة) تلك اللفظة؛ إذ يتساءل الباحثان عن الحكم الذي يوجه الآخر، فمن هو الحاكم في المسألة ومن هو المحكوم، وبمعنى آخر إن السياق هو الذي يتموضع على وفق الدلالة المطلوبة في النص فتكون الدلالة هي الحكم في هذه المعادلة أم أن الدلالة هي نتاج السياق فهو من يوجهها كيف يشاء، وعلى هذا عقد البحث على خمسة مباحث يتناول كل مبحث منها جانبا من جوانب الفرضية العلمية وصولا إلى النتائج النهائية التي اطمأن لها الباحثان، ويبدو أن الدراسة قد احتوت في خاتمتها على الفرضيات التي تم فرضها في بداية الدراسة، وقد توصلا إلى جملة نتائج منها: • إن دراسة السياق والدلالة إنما هي دراسة عربية المنشأ وإن لم تكن عربية من حيث التنظير والتسمية النهائية التي استقر عليها علماء اللغة المحدثين. • يمكن أن يؤخذ على الغربيين أنهم تطرفوا كثيرا في النظر إلى السياق وحكمه على المعنى. • أن السياق يعد الحل الأمثل للكثير من الإشكاليات التخاطبية فيما يخص الدلالة فهو القرينة الفنية الكاشفة للوجه المراد من المفردة إذ يقوم بعملية ترشيح دلالي للاكتناز المعنوي الموجود في المفردة الواحدة. • يود الباحث- برغبة شديدة- التماس الباحثين والمهتمين بهذا الشأن للخوض بدراسة جادة في موضوع (علاقة الارتباط الدلالي بين العرب والغرب تجذيرا وتنظيرا) لعل أحدا يثبت بذلك قدم السبق لعلماء العربية، أو يكشف لنا عن أمر طالت الحيرة والتفكير فيه ودخل في نطاق الاحتمالات والشكوك دون أن ينبري له من يزيح عنه الغبار بجدية الحقيقة ويثبته بالدلالة العلمية المقنعة.
