|b This is study tackles an aspect of linguistic analysis of literary texts, namely the phonological one and it shows the extent to which this analysis participates in literary creativity in general and in poetry in particular. The analysis is carried out by tracind the structure of effective verse and pinpoirtaing the reasons behind such unmatched creativity. This is a very important attempt to be made explore the semantic aspect of the literary text. It is phonology that forms the frame within which other text It is phonology that forms the frame within which other text structures develop . This very aspect forms but the atoms of speech that are available in the individual s dictionary that stem from his own lexicon. It is there where one gets the phonemes of which unlimited number of words and grammatical sentences consist. It is the phonological analysis of the literary texts that indicates the researcher s ability to select his own well - formed vocabulary items within the semantic field . He does so to make his word match with the rules that govern the relation between phonology and semantics. It is the application of this analysis to a sample of modem Arabic poetry that has been the main concern of this study .
