يعد التشكيل على المانيكان أحد أساليب إنتاج الملابس بأسلوب الحياكة الراقية بل هو من الفنون التشكيلية التي تحتاج إلى حس فني وتذوق جمالي وقدرة على التخيل والابتكار وهو يوضح رؤية شخصية ويعبر عنها من خلال الاستمرار في تنفيذ قطعة الملابس وإجراء التعديلات الضرورية عليها لإخراج النموذج الأول للتصميم وقد تم تنفيذه وفقًا للتشكيل ثلاثي الأبعاد ومن الاعتبارات الهامة لنجاح التصميم المشكل على المانيكان الإضافات والمكملات الزخرفية بفن التطريز لإضافة قيمة وشكل جمالي. والتطريز بالتلي من الفنون الشعبية القديمة الموجودة في صعيد مصر وبخاصة محافظتي أسيوط وسوهاج التي تشتهر به منذ أكثر من ثلاثمائة عام بل هو من الموروثات الشعبية الأصيلة التي تمثل تراثًا قوميًّا يجدر بنا الحفاظ عليه ودراسته ليكون مصدرًا ثريًّا واستثماره في مجال زخرفة الأزياء تأكيدًا على أهمية التراث القومي والحفاظ عليه. ومن هنا تكمن مشكلة البحث في استلهام أسلوب التطريز بالتلي لرفع القيمة الفنية والجمالية للأزياء المشكلة على المانيكان برؤية عصرية جديدة مع اختيار الوحدة الزخرفية التي تتناسب مع مساحات وقصات التصميم وفي ضوء ذلك هدفت الدراسة إلى استطلاع آراء المتخصصين والمستهلكين في التصميمات المنفذة من خلال إعداد استمارة استبيان بالإضافة إلى تثقيف جمهور المستهلكين وتوعيته بتراثه الشعبي من فن التلي وما يحمله من جماليات ورؤى جديدة للأزياء. وقد توصلت الدراسة إلى إمكانية تطويع التطريز بالتلي في إثراء الأزياء المشكلة على المانيكان بشكل عصري حديث وتلقى قبولًا من المتخصصين والمستهلكين.
