المستخلص: في عالمنا اليوم حيث تسيطر التغيرات التكنولوجية والتحولات السريعة على نواحي كثيرة في حياتنا وبشكل خاص في الاتصالات وتبادل المعلومات، كانت الشبكة العالمية للمعلومات "الأنترنت" محصلة طبيعية لهذه الثورة كأقوى مصدر للمعلومات لمختلف الشعوب بمختلف الثقافات. وقد أكد الباحثون على أهمية دور الأنترنت في تعزيز قاموس ثقافة الطلاب وحاجتهم إلى المصادر المتعددة للتحصيل والبحث العلمي لذا هدفت الدراسة إلى معرفة دور الأنترنت كمصدر في تصميم الأزياء من خلال التعرف علي أهم دوافع الاستخدام والمواقع المفضلة زيارتها إلى جانب البرامج المستخدمة في مجال التصميم والأزياء. كذلك هدفت الدراسة إلى معرفة الصعوبات التي تواجه الطالبات للاستفادة منها في تحسين عملية التعليم والتعلم. طبقت الدراسة على (50 طالبة) من المستوي الرابع بقسم الملابس والنسيج في كلية التربية للاقتصاد المنزلي والتربية الفنية بجدة. تم التوصل إلى النتائج التي أثبتت أن 25.8% من عينة الطالبات اللاتي لا يستخدمن الأنترنت كان بسبب عدم امتلاكهن لجهاز الحاسب، في حين أن 30.6% يستخدمن الأنترنت بدافع الاطلاع على البريد الإلكتروني، و19.4% لأغراض البحث العلمي، و11.1% استخدمن الأنترنت لسرعة الحصول على المعلومات، وذلك بمعدل 1-5 ساعات في الأسبوع. كما انه ليس من المستغرب أن بعض أفراد العينة اللاتي يزرن مواقع التصميم والأزياء يفضلن زيارة مواقع بعض المصممين المشهورين 41.2% بالإضافة إلى المواقع الأخرى (حواء - لمسات) وذلك فقط للاطلاع على كل جديد في عالم الموضة والأزياء والجدير بالذكر أن هناك عدد قليل جداً من العينة (6 طالبات) اللاتي يستخدمن برامج Photoshop والرسام في التصميم وذلك بسبب عدم المعرفة الكافية بالبرامج المتخصصة الأخرى (Info Design - CAD- Gerber). توصي الباحثة بضرورة تشجيع الطالبات على استخدام الأنترنت كمصدر في التصميم والأزياء وعمل روابط وصلة بين المناهج ووضعها في الإنترنت حيث يمكن للطالبات الاستفادة من هذه التقنية في أي مكان وبالتالي استخدام برامج مخصصة في التصميم وتبادل المعلومات والخبرات مع المختصين في طول البلاد وعرضها بطريقة أكثر تفاعلية.

In today’s world where technological development and rapid changes dominate many aspects in our life mainly on communication and information interchange. The World Wide Web "internet" was typical consequence of this revolution, ns the most powerful source of information for different societies with different education. Many researchers emphasize on the role the internet can play in enhancing students education and their needs to varieties of sources in obtaining educational researches. This study intended to indicate the role of internet as a source of fashion design throughout the motivations of uses, and the preferred web-site to visit, beside the use of most important fashion design software. The study also, aimed to estimate the difficulties faces students to help improving the educational process. The study was applied on level four (50 students) in the department of Clothing & Textile at College of Education for Home Economic and Arts in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The outcome of this study showed that 25.8% of study sample who are not accessing the internet was because of incapability of affording PC's. On the other hand, 30.6% of the study sample access the internet for checking their e-mail, while 19.4% access the internet for scientific researches, and 11.1% for the ease and fast acquire information. The study sample spent 1-5 hours per week. It was not so surprise that some study sample (41.2%) who visited the fashion design web-sites only prefer visiting the famous designers, Hawaa (Eve) and Lamasat (Touches) web-site in order to be updated with every new in the world of fashion design. Obviously, very few students (6 only) whom used Photoshop and Paint software for fashion design because of the lack of other professional software (Info-Design, CAD, Gerber). The researcher recommended encouraging students to access the internet as a source of fashion design. It is important to create a network of electronic courses then link them to the internet, so students worldwide can benefit from this technology. Thus, they can use the professional fashion design software, and exchange experiences and knowledge with the expertise around the world in a more effectively manner.
