المستخلص: The present paper is concerned with one of the important traits of the Arabic Language which is synony my. This feature acquires a spatial aignificance in the Holy Quran, a nation which has been subgect to different views and interpretations. The paper starts with an introduction in which notion of suynonymy in the Holy Quran is exposed from the terminological and linguistic and standpoints. The reasons behind negating any possibility of synonymy in the Holy Quran .the two word (khasya) / (awe), and (khawf)/(fear) wear studied as an example. Concluding that the former word has connotation rat present in the latter. The paper evd with the findings arrived at.
