تضمن البحث الموسوم "دور التلفزيون في سلوك الأطفال" أربعة مباحث أساسية فضلاً عن التوصيات وإطار البحث العام الذي تضمن أهداف البحث والتي تتلخص في التعرف على الأبعاد الاجتماعية والنفسية لبرامج التلفزيون ودورها في سلوك الأطفال والتعرف على قابلية الطفل نحو اكتساب صفات العنف القادمة من خلال التعرض لبرامج التلفزيون والتعرف على الآثار السلبية والإيجابية على شخصية الطفل القادمة من خلال التعرض لبرامج التلفزيون. فيما ركزت أهمية البحث على شريحة الأطفال باعتبارها من الشرائح والفئات العمرية المهمة في الأسرة أو في البناء الاجتماعي بشكل عام بالنظر إلى السرعة الفائقة لهذه الشريحة في اكتساب وتعلم ما يعرض على شاشات التلفزيون من برامج وأفلام قد تكون خطيرة في بعض الحالات لذا وانطلاقاً من ذلك فإن أهمية البحث تركز على ضرورة التحكم بما يعرض على هذه الشاشات من برامج وأفلام وأبعاد السلبية منها من متناول الأطفال. وقد كانت مشكلة البحث تتلخص في وجود قدر كبير من برامج وأفلام العنف والإثارة الأمر الذي يؤدي إلى ترك بصمات تلك البرامج والأفلام على شخصية الطفل وسلوكه. أما المبحث الأول فقد تناول تحديد المفاهيم الأساسية التي وردت في البحث والتي تضمنت (التلفزيون، الدور، السلوك والأطفال) في حين ركز المبحث الثاني على دور التلفزيون في تربية الأطفال من خلال ما يعرض من برامج وأفلام والألعاب. أما المبحث الثالث والأخير فقد تناول باعتباره الوسيلة الأكثر أهمية في حياة الطفل والأسرة على حد سواء كأداة مهمة من أدوات التثقيف والإرشاد أما المبحث الرابع والأخير فقد اختص بدراسة دور التلفزيون في سلوك الأطفال من خلال استعراض العوامل السلبية والإيجابية وأثرها في سلوك الطفل، فضلاً عن والتوصيات والخاتمة. \
This research contains titled "The Role of TV in the Children's Behaviour" four main chapters and the general frame of the research, including the research aim which deals with knowing the social and psychological dimensions of the TV programs and their role children's behaviour, and finding something about the child's ability towards acquiring violent characteristics when exposed to programs and films dealing with violence; Such programs and films do have negative harmful effects on the child's daily behaviour., it affects the child's personality deeply. The study focuses on children because they make a very important sector of society; and because they accept things readily, without being able to distinguish the bad side of what they are exposed to. And because they are the builders of future of every country, they must be protected against any devastating ideologies coming from abroad. It is worth mentioning that TV programs must always be under control of experts in order to keep the children away from any negative harmful effects of improper bad TV programs. The research problem also focuses on the large number of films of violence and incitation shown on TV. The first investigation deals with pointing out the basic concepts of the research including (the TV, the role, behavior and children), while the second investigation deals with the role of TV in nurturing children how to make use only of the programs and films which help in enriching the child's with educational moral information to build a good society prosperous country. The third investigation deals with TV as a very important means which plays significant roles in the child's life, from the educational and guiding points of view, and the fourth investigation deals with studying the effect of TV on the child's behabiour, through presenting the positive and the negative factors, and their effects in the child's behaviour. This chapter also includes the recommendations and the conclusion. \
