المستخلص:	Being a realistic poet, Larkin’s view of the poet is not to make the surroundings of his poem ideal, instead he sees the world realistically. He avoids describing nature the way the Romantics do; neither by showing its beauty nor by describing the raptures he feels in the presence of nature. Consequently he describes the beautiful outward of nature that keeps reminding him of its mortality and death. Nature images axe reminders of the continuity of the two major events in life: of birth and death. Sometimes it is a reminder of the youth that has gone long ago. It is really the image of nature that has been used for realistic purposes rather than romantic ones.
