|b The seclor of fisheries & living marine recourses is one of the main economic sectors in Yemen. It supplies the population with animal proteins and food . It provides job opportunities for more than 370 unemployed persons and supplies the country with hard currency that comes through the exports of fishes and marine creatures . the Yemeni beaches arc long (they exceed 2.3 thousand Km) . Thus , the need arises for attracting the private sector investment by creating an attractive investment environment for setting up marketing services institutions & infrastructure projects in order to meet the need of the sector for various facilities related to fishes, production , processing , marketing , packaging and grinding . This, in essence , helps to increase and promote the effectiveness of the services provided by these facilities so as to ensure maximum utilization of living marine resources . \ Through this research , I have tried to study the private sector ks contribution to investment process in fisheries sector . and to identify its role in developing the infrastructure of fisheries and in establishing other related projects such as canneries , boats Industry ctc. The impact of the private sector investment on developing the fisheries sector and the obstacles that stand in the way of the investors to continue playing their required role have\ been\ thoroughly\ analyzed.
