|b This study is indented to verify differences among averages of dimensions of marital adjustment for parents of mild intellectually disabled students in terms of different in levels of frequency and effectiveness of social support networks-and verifying the relationship between frequency and effectiveness of social support networks and marital adjustments with parents of mild intellectually disabled students; verifying the relationship between dimensions of marital adjustment for parents of mild intellectually disabled students and adaptive skills of mild intellectually disabled students; verifying the relationship between frequency and effectiveness of communication of social support networks for parents of mild intellectually disabled students and adaptive skills of mild intellectually disabled students. This is through answering these questions: 1- Are there any statistically significant differences in averages in marital adjustment dimensions with parents of mild intellectually disabled students in terms of difference in levels of frequency and effectiveness of social support networks? 2- Are there any statistically significant differences between levels of frequency and effectiveness of communication of social support networks and marital adjustment for parents of mild intellectually disabled students? 3- Are any statistically significant differences between dimensions of marital adjustment for parents of mild intellectually disabled students and adaptive skills for mild intellectually disabled students? 4- Are there any statistically significant differences between levels of frequency and effectiveness of communication of social support networks for parents of mild intellectually disabled students and adaptive skills for mild intellectually disabled students? Sample consists of 42 students-age from 6- 9 years old from mild intellectually disabled students in enrolled in AI- Tarbiya Al- Fikriya Boys School in the state of Kuwait for the academic year 2008-2009 AD, belonging to 42 family with fathers' ages from 29-53 years old and mothers' ages from 27- 50 years old. Study used the following tools: 1- Social support network scales, developed by researcher. 2- Marital adjustment scale, developed by researcher. 3- Adaptive behavior scale, prepared in the field of independent skills. Study concluded the following findings: First Question Findings: Findings of the study first question. denoted statistically significant differences for all dimensions of marital adjustment for parents of mild intellectually disabled students (personal, family, socio- psychological) in terms of differences in levels of frequency and effectiveness of social support networks for both study groups (high level-low level) and difference were in the side of husbands and wives with high levels of frequency and effectiveness of communication for social support networks. Second Question Findings: Findings of the study second question, denoted statistically significant positive relation among all dimensions of marital adjustment for parents of mild intellectually disabled students (personal, family. socio- psychological) ,and levels of social support networks (communication frequency, communication effectiveness) according to responds of both husband and wife together and so such findings denoted mild statistically significant positive relation at the level of 0. 001 among dimensions of marital adjustment for espouses in terms of different levels of social support networks represented in the frequencies and effectiveness of communication, and so findings denoted mild statistically significant positive relation at the level of 0.001 between the dimension of marital adjustment and both levels of social support networks represented in the frequency and effectiveness of communication. As to both dimensions of personal and socio- psychological adjust- ment, they had not statistically significant relation with social support network and association was mild and positive. Third Question Findings: Findings of the study third question, denoted positive statistically significant relation between all marital adjustment dimensions (personal, family, socio- psychological) for espouses, and adaptive skills for mild intellectually disabled students, they also denoted mild statistically significant positive relation at the level of 0.001 between the dimension of marital adjustment for the wife and adaptive skills for mild statistically significant positive relation, as to both dimensions of personal and socio- psychologically adjustment since their relation with adaptive skills is not statistically significant, and their association is mild and positive. Fourth Question Findings: Findings of the study fourth question, denoted positive statistically significant relation between social support for parents of mild intellectually disabled students in terms of frequency and effectiveness of communication and adaptive skills for mild intellectually disabled students, and they denoted that relation among social support networks in terms of communication effectiveness are stronger than the case of repetitive communication.
