المستخلص: The research aimeds at: 1- To know the role of television in providing different information for children. 2- To know the kinds of information and their domains which are presented by television for children’s 3- To identify the different kinds and types of different T.V, programs which the children can benefit from them. The research depends upon the descriptive analytic method in conduction and uses content of some television programs during a specific period of time, to know the most important education values, information, and attitudes which can be useful for children. The research used two questionnaires; First: Questionnaire presented to children's parents to know different T .V. programs which is being watched by their children and also to know the different uses and benefits from those programs. Second: Questionnaire presented to a group of kindergarten children know their opinions about television programs which are presented to children and what are the best program presented. The research presents a group of principles and criteria of production of television programs for children and the characteristic of people who are working in production of these programs. The research findings include: 1- There is a need to relate the production policy of children's television programs to the educational policy in the kingdom. 2- There is a need to from trained and well qualified teams to monitor and evaluate children's television programs before presenting them. 3- There is a need to make parents aware of the importance of guiding their children to watch the useful T.V. programs which contain Islamic values which will help in building up the children's personalities.
