المستخلص: Reading and writing did not spread in Al-Hijaz , perhaps their spreading were more in urbanity than Bedwins . if we knew that they were professionals that Arab disdained and teaching was not limited on men rather than women . In addition to that , clerical workers appeared in early time in cities which were in need to learn reading and writing because of their entering the scientific life . The clerical workers were not limited on the rich men , but we found a class of poor men were able to read and write . When Islam became known , the need to read and to write were urgent specially after the revealing of Koran and Arabs' necessity to read and to explain its verses. Islam urged people on learning and spreading its instructions . So not only reading and writing spread but also clerical workers widely spread , and after that the spreading of schools and regular teaching .
