The security information is considered one of the forms of information that deals with security subjects to spread security awaroness and law information in order to safeguard the people and protect them from the criminal behavior as it is indcated by the proverb ’Prevention' is better than Troatment* Ttvs research awns a! identifying the rote of the security information and prevention from criminal behavior. Socurity informa¬tion can be defined as a sort of specialized information to support and strengthen se¬curity in the community order to let peo¬ple feel safe and securo and also to solidify the social control concept inside them. Mass media have many effects on sup¬porting man's capabilities and acculturat-ing him Security information plays an im¬portant rote in bringing up the children due to the awareness it provides and the pre-ventive role it plays. The cooperation between secunty au¬thorities and mass media supports the se¬curity situation and copes with necessities of the ago. Regarding Mass media and their impact on acquiring and developing criminal behavior, researches show that there is a rolation between the material product by mass media on one hand and committing crimes and developing violent behavior on the other Regarding the scientific explanation of the mass media impact on acquiring the criminal behavior we find that security newspapers, books, brochures, leaflets and the like have an effect considered useful by some people The second trend considers it harmful and leads to develop¬ing the criminal behavior among individu¬als The third trend considers publication should be controlled.
