The researcher Dr. Othman Mustafa has found the stone in A1- Safawi Area in a site that is about 35 kilometers far from the Northern East of Al-Safawi Town in the Jordanian North Desert during the inscriptions’ search in the area with Dr. Sabri Al-Abbadi in 1997. \\ \\\ It is a stone of Basil with a soft surface that has been exposed to damage due to the climatic conditions which accordingly affected the clarity of the reading. Three writings in the Safatic handwriting were written on the stone; one of them was written in The Plough Method surrounded by an inscription whose end was exposed to damage that affected its reading. The third one is a beginning of the name of the writer of inscription number 1 but the writer didn’t finish it. \\ Inscription number 1 was written in The Plough Method by a sharp tool and the handwriting appeared very thin and in a moderate size. The inscription consists of 38 letters including a drawing of a person raising his hands and speaking to defend camels and observing enemies. \\ \\\ Inscription number 2 was written below inscription number 1 in the same handwriting and consists of 17 letters about water resources and camel shepherding. \\ \\\ The third inscription consists of two letters only that the writer began with and then changed his mind. \\ \\ |
