المستخلص: The Study deal with the evolution of strategic thinking in International Relations through a review of the most important stages undergone by the strategic thinking. Especially after the fall of the Berlin Wall and the collapse of the Soviet Union that ended the cold war and bipolarity in the international system. The study also exposed to the challenges facing strategic studies that have been associated for a long time with the concept of war and military force, especially in light of international changes by re-introducing the concept of power and security to the debate in the form of rearrangement of the factors of power (the rise of soft power factors and down of hard power factors). The study discusses also the need to remove the link between strategic studies and the realist school that dominated until the end of the Cold War.
