|b The Talmud– the most important reference for Jewish groups around the globe in its Palestinian and Babylonian Talmud– constitutes a historical mystery for Muslim and Christian scholars studying Judaism. There has never been any comprehensive Arabic translation of the Talmud, while very few English and French versions are narrowly circulated. Therefore, anumber of Muslim scholars decided to investigate the sacred book according to oral and impressionistic citations, especially in explaining several Islamic scripts and exploring religious Jewish view of other faiths. In addition, there are the teachings’ details and developments which assist in objectively accounting for \ Jewish social and religious behaviors. \ As the Middle East Studies Center keeps in touch with various Arab researchers, intellectuals, experts, religious scholars and politicians, some of them suggested translating the sacred book. It turned out that a number of Arab personalities, including some officials, had the desire to understand the content of the book which is considered a fundamental reference in upbringing the modern Jewish generation. According to the need, the MESC decided to call a team of specialists and researchers to translate it over a period of 5 years.
