المستخلص: Both archeologists and historians have given coins a great attention since they are one of the most important sources in studying antiquities and the Islamic civilization . Moreover , it is right and undoubted document, because it issued from the state mint and with care of the caliph who is the direct in charge of the mint. The coins , at the time of Al-Qahir Billah (320-322A.H,are considered important ones at the time(4A. H) . The present study shows the biography of Al-Qahir Billah and the courses of events accompanied him at the time of his government. Important reasons which made the caliph called (the avenger of Allahs' enemies for the sake of Allahs' religion) on his coins , were mentioned by the researcher . Furthermore , golden and silver coins kept in it Iraqi museum ,were scientifically studied as well as his coins in other museum in the world . None of the researchers have studied this caliph in terms of weight, size, place of mint and the like . \
