يناقش هذا البحث قضية متشابكة المعالم، هى قضية المصطلح بوجه عام وبروزة في الثقافة الإسلامية وفي علوم القرآن بوجه خاص، إذ أن للمصطلح أهميته التي لا تنكر، فهو الضابط الذي يضبط حدود العالم، والحد الذي يميز جزيئاته، ومن ثم فهو يمثل وقاية من الخلط أو الإضطراب الذي يمكن ان يحدث في الأحكام. وقد إختار الباحث علوم القرآن بين الكافيجى والسيوطى ليدرس ملامح المصطلح عندهما لتأخرهما بحث إستوعبا خبرة المتقدمين عليهما في المصطلح وزادا عليهما، ولان الثانى احد أخص تلاميذ الأول ومن المفترض أن يكون متأثراً في هذا المجال وهى إشكالية عالجها البحث بنوع من البسط. ويتكون البحث من تمهيد وثلاثة مباحث: فأما التمهيد فيدرس: أهم جهود الكافيجى والسيوطى في علوم القرآن ودورهما فيها من خلال تتبعه لجهود السابقين لهما في هذا المجال. وأما المبحث الأول: فيعنى بمصطلحات علوم القرآن عند الكافيجى حيث يقرر أنه أول من أفرد باباً خاصاً للمصطلح في علوم القرآن وذلك في كتابه (التيسير في قواعد علم التفسير) دارساً منهجه في الإصطلاح ومصادره ومميزاته وبعض المأخذ عليه. ويأتى المبحث الثانى ليدرس مصطلحات علوم القرآن عند السيوطى ومصادره فيها وما أضافه السيوطى على هذه المصادر. ويولى عنايه خاصة بأثر شيخه الكافيجى في هذا الصدد، كاشفاً اللثام عن هذا الاثر ومزيلاً للإشكاليات التي إكتنفته. ثم يصور الثالث مقارنه علمية بين السيوطى والكافيجى في مجال المصطلح في علوم القرآن، وما اتفقا عليه واختلفا فيه
This study tackles the intricate issue of the Qur'anic terminology in general and it's prominence in the Islamic culture and in the Qur'anic sciences in particular. It undersores the undeniable significance of the Qur'anic terminology both as the authority that sets the broad parameters of the Qur'anic science and as the measure that calibrate and distinguishes its specificities. The Qur'anic terminology therefore is seen as the guard against any misunderstanding or confusion that might occur in the sharia jurisdictions. The researcher has chosen AL-Kafiji and AL-Sayouti's Qur'anic sciences to study the features of their Qur'anic terminology. This is because, first, AL-Kafiji and AL-Sayouti were relatively later scholars who fully assimilated the terminological expertise of their predecessors and had significantly added to it; and, second, because the latter was one of the most distinguished students of the former and was thus point with some degree of explicitness. The paper is divided into three parts: The first assesses the roles of, and the most important contributions and efforts mad by, AL-Kafiji and AL-Sayouti in the Qur'anic sciences, and it does so by tracing the contributions and the efforts made by their predecessors in their field. The second concerns itself primarily with AL-Kafiji’s terminology of the Qur'anic sciences, and it establishes that he was the first scholar to have studied the Qur'anic terminology as an independent branch of the Qur'anic sciences. In his book, AL-Tayseer fi kawaed Ilm AL-Tafseer, AL-kafiji allocates a whole section to the study of the Qur'anic terminology, and the present paper examines his terminological methodology, its sources and its salient features. Its also posits some reservations against it. The third sectios studies AL-Sayouti's terminology of the Qu'anic sciences, its sources and his additions to these sources. It pays special attention to the considerable influence exerted by his sheikh and mentor, AL-Kafiji, in this respect. Hopefully, the study unravels the intricacies of this problematic influence and removes some of the latent misunderstandings surrounding it
