هدفت الدراسة إلى التعرف على واقع التعليم التقني والمهني في الأردن، وعلى إبراز وسائل وآفاق تطوره في المستقبل. التعليم التقني والمهني هو تعليم نظامي يتضمن الأعداد التربوي والتوجيه السلوكي وإكساب المهارات اليدوية والمقدرة العملية والمعارف العلمية الملائمة لمتطلبات العمل. ويهدف أساسا لأعداد قوى عاملة تقنية تقع على عاتقها مسؤولية التشغيل والإنتاج والصيانة، ويتميز بارتباطه الوثيق مع احتياجات النشاط الاقتصادي والاجتماعي واتجاهات التطور التكنولوجي الذي يشهده المجتمع مما يضع عليه مسؤولية التجاوب السريع مع احتياجات السوق المتغيرة إلى القوى العاملة والمهارات التقنية بما يحقق طموحات المجتمع نحو التطور والتقدم المستمر. إضافة إلى العديد من الأهداف التي برزت في ظل التطور القائم في التعليم التقني والمهني والتكنولوجيا الحديثة. وقد خلصت الدراسة إلى ضرورة: أعداد الطلبة وتزويدهم بالمهارات والتقنيات اللازمة لتسخير التكنولوجيا الحديثة في خدمة التنمية الاقتصادية والاجتماعية وحاجات المجتمع. وربط العمل بالتعليم من خلال التعليم المفتوح التعليم المستمر وخدمة المجتمع والانتقال السلس بين برامج التعليم التقنى ومراحله المختلفة وتجسير التعليم التقنى ،كذلك تشجيع الطلاب على التعليم الذاتي في مجال تخصصهم مما يساعد على الاستمرار في التعليم مدى الحياة، وتحويل الفرد من متلق سلبي ومستهلك للعلوم والتكنولوجيا الحديثة إلى مبتكر يتعامل مع التقنيات بوعى وادراك ،واستكمال البناء العمودى للتخصصات التقنية لمواكبة التطور الكبير فى التقنيات العالية. وبالتالي العمل على خلق تنمية اجتماعية متوازنة عن طريق التوزيع العادل لها.
This study aims to identify the status of technical and vocational education in Jordan. Additionally, the study highlights methods and prospects for its development. The technical and vocational education is a formal education which includes educational skills, practical ability and scientific knowledge that are suitable for work requirements. It is basically aimed to prepare manpower that has the skills and responsibilities of operating and maintaining industrial entities. Furthermore, it is characterized by its close association with the needs of economic and social needs and the trends of technological development that the societies witness nowadays. This makes the employees responsible for the quick response to market needs with the technical skills to achieve the society ambitions towards development and continual progress. In addition, secondary objectives of this undertaken include the discussion of existing developments in the technical education in Jordan is relation to the modern technology. This study concludes that it is necessary to prepare students for the workplace and provide them with the necessary and updated skills to utilized modern technology in the service of economical and social developments and the society needs. It is also important to link work with education through open and continuous education and society service, and provide smooth transition between technical educational programs at their different stages and the work place. Moreover, bridging technical education, as well as, encouraging students on self-study in their fields can help the continuation of education for lifetime. This encourages innovation and awareness of continuous improvement to complete the vertical construction for the technical specialization to cope with great development of higher skills and techniques , causing it to work on the creation of social balanced development.
