المستخلص:	The threats to cultural property risen up to a higher degree in the case of armed conflict than that in time of peace, so the efforts to provide full protection of the property during armed conflicts was accelerated, and enacted in the Hague Convention of 1954 which included provisions for the protection of cultural property during armed conflicts. Iraq could not distance itself - it has witnessed many armed conflicts - from exposure to such damages which could destroy its cultural heritage. We have shown clearly that all archaeological sites in Dhi Qar was a field either to random exploration, or to the high levels of water, especially marshes water, which rose in a disorganized and uncalculated manner, in addition to the greatest danger that is take those sites as military barracks, which exposes them to risk the fall of the missiles that took them down on a regular basis, let alone of the shelf, and digging of trenches and positions required by the presence of military forces. \
