The art of excavations got through several stages of development before reaching the image that appears in now .because its not a modern art like archeology, and its roots sink away to ancient times, and it has a close association to the human psyche , instinct of curiosity,and the tendency to know the unknown. So it is not strange to see the attention of ancient Babylonians and Assyrians to search for documents and records related to their history. The archaeological excavations to recent times take place at the hands of amateurs , who do not have knowledge in ways of regular drilling and the sequence of earth layers or the effects and roles of time. \ |
