تناول البحث حیاة قتادة بـن دعامـة السدوسـي ومنهجـه فـي الروایـات التاریخیـة فضـلاً عـن مذهبه وعقیدتـه إذ اتهمـه عـدد مـن القـدامى بشـيء مـن القـدر ثـم رجوعـه عنـه وأثبـت البحـث عكـس ذلك ، إذ ان قتادة كان مـن أهـل السـنة والجماعـة ودلیلنـا علـى ذلـك اعتمـاد أصـحاب الكتـب السـتة على روایته وأخذهم بها وإجماعهم على انه كان ثقة كما ذهبوا إلى صحة روایته والنقل عنه. تمیز قتادة بمتابعته للحادثة التاریخیة وذكره التفاصیل الكاملة عنهـا، امـا موقفـه مـن السـند فكان كغیره من المحدثین القدامى الذین لم یعتمـدوا السـند روایـة الحـدیث النبـوي الشـریف فـي بدایـة أمره فكان یقول قتادة : بلغت عن رسول اﷲ صلى الله عليه وسلم وبلغت عن عمـر وعـن علـي رضـي اﷲ عنهمـا إلـى ان قتـادة مـا لبـث أن اعتمـد السـند فـي روایتـه فكـان یقـول: سـألت مطرفـاً وسـألت سـعید بـن المسیب وحدثنا انس بن مالك رضي اﷲ عنه فكان یذكره الاسناد في روایته . كان قتادة یستشهد كثیراً بالآیات القرآنیة في روایة الحدیث او الخبر التاریخي ، قال قتادة : ما في القرآن آیة إلا وقد سمعت فیها شیئاً. \
The research tackled the biography of Kuttada Bin Da'ama AlSadoosy including his method of historical narration, his own believe and doctrine. Some of the traditional scholars accused him of being follower of Al Qadaria Doctrine, the fact that forced him to give up some of his thoughts related to that doctrine. The research proved that he hadnir hadn't been a follower of Al Qadaria, but had been a follower of Ahl –Alsunna Wal Jama'a, and our evidence for this is that the six famous his narration and trusted him. They were unanimously agreed upon his owners of the books depended credibility of narrating Al Hadith. Kuttada was distinguished of being persistant of following up detaik. As for his attitude about AL-Isnad, he didn’t depend on it at the beginning, as the traditional narrators. He used to say: I was told that Umar Bin Al-Khattab was that prophet Mohammed had said ---etc. Then, he adopted Al-Isand in his narration by saying: "I asked Mutraf and I asked Sa'ed Bin Al-Mussayab, and Anass Bin Malik had told us ---- etc. Thus, documentation of Al- Hadith was installed. Kuttada used to cite Quranic verses when narrating Al-Hadith and historical events, and he himself had said:- "There is no verse in the Holly Quran but I heard its interpretation in on of the Hadith or historical narration. \
