الحمد لله، والصلاة والسلام على رسول الله، وبعد: فإن الرباط أحد لوازم الجهاد، وهو أحد أسباب الحفاظ على مصالح الأمة ومكتسباتها، وقد حث الشرع على القيام به، وقد رأيت جل الفقهاء يحصرونه في الإقامة في الثغور، البرية والبحرية، فأوضحت حقيقة الرباط، وأنه ليس مقتصرأ على الإقامة في الثغور، وربط الخيل فيها، بل إنه أوسع من ذلك بكثير، فقد أصبحت هناك ثغور خطيرة لا تقل خطرا عن الحدود البرية والسواحل، وكلها تحتاج ألى المرابطة فيها وحراستها بما يناسب، وعلى ذلك فقد عرفت الرباط بأنه؛ (ملازمة ثغر فيه خطر على المسلمين؛ لرد خطر متوقع عنهم)، وقد أوضحت أمثلة على الثغور التي أصبحت تشكل خطرا في العصر الحاضر، مثل: الثغور الجوية والفكرية والصحية والأمنية والإعلامية وما شابه ذلك، وقل أوضحت أهمية هذه الثغور، وأن هذه وأمثالها مجالات مهمة للرباط، وقصدت من ذلك ثلاثة أهداف: ٠١ الحفاظ على مصالح المسلمين ومكتسباتهم في الحاضر والمستقبل. ٠٢ إعطاء دفع روحي؛ لتفعيل العمل الدنيوي. ٠٣ جعل كل المسلمين ينهضون بمسؤولية الحفاظ على مصالح الأمة. وقد توصلت إلى النتائج التالية ١. آن الرباط نوع من الجهاد والإعداد المستمر لكشف الخطر ومقابلته. ٠٢ أن الرباط يكون في كل مكان يشكل خطرا على المسلمين على المدى القريب أو البعيد. ٠٣ أن كل عمل يلازمه المسلم، بنية الحفاظ على مصالح المسلمين يكون رباطا. ٠٤ أن المسلم عندما يعتبر عمله اليومي في المصالح العامة رباطا، فإنه سيتقن عمله؛ ابتغاء مرضاة الله، فيتحقق للمجتمع الآمن المطلوب، وللمرابط الأجر المرغوب
A’ribbat is one of the main pillars of Jihad. It is one of the means that can best be utilized to realize the interests and preserve the resources of the Muslim Ummah. Sharia is persistently inviting Muslims to practice Ribat. The majority of Muslim jurists however seemed to have restricted Jihad to staying in land and sea ports in the aim of defending Muslim lands and communities. In this paper an endeavour is made to expand the concept of Ribat to incorporate extra multifarious activities and it is rather a broadening of Ribat definition. Currently, the number of ports has enormously increased and the need for their protection became more demanding. In view of such a situation reconceptulization of Ribat is inevitable. Accordingly, the traditional definition of Jihad should be altered a bit to run as follows:To strictly stay at one of the Muslim ports or (points) with the sole aim of confronting any anticipated danger to which that port or point is vulnerable. Instances of new ports that are at high level of risk at present were given. They include air ports and several fronts e.g. intellectual, health, security and media fronts etc... The paper layed considerable emphasis on those ports/fronts with the objective of highlighting the following targets. 1. To preserve the existing and future achievements of the Muslim Nation "Ummah". 2. To provide Muslims with spiritual motivation for bettering their day to day activities. 3. Place all Muslims at the track of shouldering their responsibilities as regards the preservation and protection of their interests. Finally, this paper ended to the followings: 1. Ribat is a kind of Jihad, and falls with the context of the continued preparedness for unearthing of continuous threats to the "Ummah", and fight them. 2. Every endangered place that renders Muslims' safety to jeopardy or risk, deserve to be a Ribat target. 3. Every action or deed undertaken by a Muslim in the aim of preserving and protecting Muslim interest, should assume the definition of Ribat. 4. When a Muslim views his every day performance of due duties within the context of public interest as a Ribat, he is bound to attain perfection in his job. Hence, Allah will be pleased with him and the Muslim community realizes safety and security, too.
