المستخلص: معلوم ان مصطلح التوثيق الإعلامي من المصطلحات الحديثة التي دخلت عالم تقنيات المعلومات, وان هذا المصطلح قد يثير تساؤلا عند بعض العاملين في مراكز التوثيق ومراكز المعلومات المختلفة, وكذلك عند بقية المهتمين بالمعلومات وتوثيقها. ويمكن إرجاع الاهتمام العالمي بالتوثيق الإعلامي إلى مجموعة من المتغيرات المتصلة بالعملية التوثيقية نفسها ومنها:- - الزيادة الهائلة في النتاج الفكري والإنساني عموما وفي مجالاتها المختلفة, وتنوع مصادر المعلومات وتعدد أشكالها, مما يصعب على الباحثين الوصول إليها بسرعة. - حاجة الباحثين والمخططين إلى مزيد من المعرفة المتخصصة في الاتصال الجماهيري أو الإعلامي. - الضبط الببليوغرافي القائم على رصد وتسجيل ووصف وتنظيم النتاج المعرفي العام بمختلف صوره وأشكاله, بهدف السيطرة عليه وتقديمه جاهزا للمهتمين. - التطور الكمي والنوعي لوسائل الاتصال منذ الربع الأخير من القرن العشرين كوصول التكنولوجيا بعيدا وبسرعة وربما فورا في التواصل البشري إعلاميا. - التطورات في أنظمة التوثيق العامة كالتوثيق الميكروفيلمي والإلكتروني والتليماتيك أو معالجة المعلومات عن بعد عبر شبكات المعلومات. وعليه يهدف هذا البحث إلى تحديد ماهية التوثيق الإعلامي وخصائصه المختلفة وأهميتها, ورصد الاهتمام العالمي بعملية التوثيق الإعلامي وعرض مكوناتها الأساسية, وتفسيرها في أطار تكنولوجيا المعلومات وتطورها, ومعرفة أثر هذه التكنولوجيا على تطور مراكز التوثيق الإعلامي. وتضمن البحث ثلاثة محاور, يسبقها مقدمة والأطار المنهجي, أولها تحديد ماهية التوثيق الإعلامي, وثانيهما تضمن مظاهر الاهتمام العالمي بعملية التوثيق الإعلامي ومكوناتها الأساسية وثالثهما التكنولوجيا الحديثة ومراكز التوثيق الإعلامي. \

Accordingly, this research aims to determine what documentation and characteristics of different media and its importance, and monitoring of global interest in the process documentation and media display of their basic components, and interpreted in the framework of information technology and development, and knowledge of the impact of this technology on the development of documentation centers media. And ensure that our introduction and methodological framework for research, three axes, first determine what authentication information, and the second included the manifestations of global interest in media and process documentation of their basic components, and the third dealt with modern technology information and documentation centers.
