سوف نحاول من خلال هذا البحث تقديم دراسة وصفية نقدية لمواقع الصحف الإلكترونية البحرينية مركزين على جانبين أساسيين هما تصميم واجهة الاستخدام (Interface Design) والوصول إلى المعلومات (Accessibility). وقمنا بتقييم تصميم واجهة الاستخدام من خلال قياس مساحات مختارة لصور ملتقطة (Screenshots) خاصة بصفحات الويب. أما بالنسبة لتقييم وتحليل عنصر الوصول للمعلومات فقد استخدمنا أدوات قياس وتجريب آلية. وتحتوي عينة البحث على خمسة مواقع الكترونية لأهم الصحف البحرينية اليومية. وقد تغذت هذه الدراسة بالأدبيات العلمية في مجال تقييم وتحليل واستخدام مواقع الصحف الإلكترونية.
In these last years, the internet presented a big challenge to traditional media and especially to printed newspapers which was deeply affected by the gradual shift of its readers to the internet. It was then a necessity for news companies to think about new strategies and to adopt new modern economic models in relation to the use and the accessibility of information. Its major goal is to reinforce its position and its relations with readers and users in front of the tough competition and the spread of news websites and citizen journalism. Like other Arabic and international news companies, Bahraini newspapers adopted almost the same strategy by creating their own web sites which came as a support to the printed newspaper. Even though, these web sites were created at different periods of time, they almost all have adopted the same method in term of interface design of pages and the publication of news contents and its updating. In this paper, we will try to present the most important results of a descriptive and evaluative study of five websites representing the major online Bahraini newspapers. The focus of the study will be on two major levels: Interface and Accessibility.
