يتحدث البحث عن آراء المفسرين في نبي الله إلياس (عليه السلام)، وكان السبب في كتابة ما وجدناه من آراء كثيرة متضاربة للمفسرين، ومما دفعني إلى أن أقوم بجمع كل ما قيل فيه من أقوال لبيانها أولاً، والوقوف على الرأي الراجح منها ثانياً، وقد اقتضى موضوعه أن يرتب على الشكل الذي هو عليه، فابتدأ البحث بذكر الآيات الواردة فيه في القرآن الكريم، ثم الحديث عنه عند اللغويين، ثم ذكر أقوال المفسرين واختلافاتهم مقسماً إياها إلى قولين، أخذ القول الأول الحيز الأكبر في الدراسة، إذ تناول مسائل كثيرة كالحديث عن القراءات الواردة فيه، ونسبه، وصفته، وترتيبه بين الأنبياء، ومن أرسل إليهم، وأقوال المفسرين في لفظة (بعل) الذي كان قومه يعبدونه، ثم تطرق البحث إلى ما قيل إنه التقي معهم، كالخضر (عليه السلام)، والمسائل المتشابهة بينهما، والرسول (صلى الله عليه وسلم)، والصحابة، وكان الحديث في كل ذلك من روايات وإن كانت من قبيل الإسرائيليات إلا أننا كنا ننقل ما كان يذكره المفسرون فضلاً عن أننا كنا نشير إلى أنها روايات لا دليل صحيحاً عليها، واختتم البحث بذكر ما وقع عند المفسرين من اللبس بينه وبين غيره كاليسع وذي الكفل والخضر (عليهم السلام)، والله الهادي إلى سواء السبيل
This work deals with the views of different interpreters of Gods prophet Elias (peace on him). Our motive in writing about this is what we found in numerous and conflicting views of different interpreters. We have stated at first these views as they were put and secondly assessed those which seemed coherent and reasonable. This arrangement was necessitated by the form and nature of this subject. we have cited excerpts of verses from the glorious koran which tackle the subject. The linguistic aspects on the subject in the mentioned excerpts were given tiom the works of linguists. The views of the interpreters and their differences were mentioned and divided into two. The first type of views has taken the larger space in this study since it accounts for many issues such as perusals about Elias s origin and his status amongst the prophets and the people for whom he was God s messenger. Also the interpreters contentions about “Bual” whom Elias s people worshiped. The second port of the study deals with the ones whom Elias met such as Al-khader (peaes on him), prophet mohammad (God s prayers and peace upon him) and his companions (Allah blessing on them) we have mentioned the tales in this respect though they most probably constitute part of Isrealite misinformative tales on the subject. we have quoted from what interpreters had to say about them though we have indicated that there is no geniune evidence about them. Finally, we draw attention to the mingling that his happened amongst interpreters between Elias and others such as Eliasha, zul-kifl and AL- khader (peace on him). we trust God is the guider to benevolence \
