This research presents novel as a common discourse containing various discourses and the most important discourse amongst them is the critical discourse, It deals with a group of signals, meditations and critical ideas, showing the methods and where they are used in the novel, and their importance in the seven novels of Ghalib Halasa, namely: Laughter, Khamasin, Crying on the ruins, Three faces of Baghdad, The question, Sultana and Novelists. The research shows that critical discourse in Halasa's novels focus mainly on the literary genre more than any other artistic and fictional genre, he also represents some theoretical common issues. We conclude that the critical discourse in the Ghalib's fictional work is not isolated from the elements of fiction but was fully involved, especially in the narrator and characters. Ghalib Halasa the author of these novels was modernist .He expressed the world which he built, and revealed a lot of its secrets.
