المستخلص: يناقش هذا البحث إمكانية تدريس وضع (علم أصول المعجم العربي)؛ ليقف الدارس على أصل هذا العلم، والمباحث التي تُناقش فيه، انطلاقًا من تعريف الأصول على نحو عام، ثم أصول المعجم على نحو خاصن مع محاولة البحث تحديد موضوع علم الأصول والمباحث التي يمكن أن يدرسها. ويعتمد - في استخراج هذه الأصول - على دراسة المراحل التي يمر بها المعجم في صناعته بحيث تستعرض جملة من القضايا الأصولية التي يحتاجها وتتداولها كل مرحلة؛ ولذلك بدأ البحث بمرحلة جمع المادة المعجمية، ثم مرحلة التدقيق فيها والاختيار منها مناقشًا قضايا أصولية متعددة، وبعد ذلك تأتي مرحلة تصنيف المادة المختارة، وترتيب المداخل الكبرى والصغرى، وأخيرا صناعة المقدمات والملاحق، معتمدا في ذلك كله على أدلة عقلية ونقلية تدعم تلك الأصول التي يعتمد عليها القائمون على صناعة المعاجم وتحليل مادتها، مما يثبت وجود قواعد وأسس منطقية تتقوم عليها صناعة المعجم تنفي عنه الاضطراب والخلل، وتعطيه المصداقية المشروطة بجملة من المبادئ يناقشها البحث في متن صفحاته.

This research discusses the possibility of teaching and developing the structure of "ilm osuul elmujam elarabi" (science of bases of the Arabic lexicon) in order that the student can detect the basis of this science and its lexical branches, Proceeding from the definition of the bases in general, then the bases of the lexicon in particular, with an attempt to define the topic of "ilm osuul" (science of bases) and the branches that can be studied. To achieve such target, the research depends mainly on studying the stages of preparing the lexicography, showing the lexical aspects which each stage handles. Therefore, the research begins with the stage of preparing the lexical subject. Next, it shows the stage of checking this subject in order to elaborate on selected variable and lexical aspects. Then, the stage of classifying the subject comes, and arranging its longer and shorter entries. Finally, the stage of preparing the introductions and appendixes comes. Moreover, the research depends, in all of that, on the mental and transferred evidences, which support these bases and which the manufacturers of Arabic lexicon use in making lexicons and analyzing its substance. Thus, this proves that the Arabic lexicon manufacture is based on rules and rationales which deny confusion and disorder from it, and they give it conditional credibility by a number of principles which the research will discuss in its pages
