المستخلص: The article concludes that the US aimed from the shift in relations with Iran to block any possible Russian coalitions that might endanger the vital American interests in the region, as well as the Iranian nuclear program. As for Iran, It has been confirmed that the American-Russian deal to destroy the Syrian chemical weapons has extremely motivated Iran to take a step towards Washington to enhance the former’s international strategic presence and influence in the region. Three scenarios have been expected that might determine the scale of shift in US-Iran relations. The first scenario expects a limited scale of bilateral understandings upon the Syrian crisis that might lead to political settlement. On the contrary, second scenario expects wider scale of understandings that enclose vital Iranian participation in regional security measures. In return, the US expects from Iran to halt backing anti-Israel movements over the region from one side, and to halt developing its nuclear program from the other side. The third scenario expects that the US might be discouraged by GCC and Israel, as well as the Iranian hesitation to comply with the conditions of the Arab- Israeli conflict. As such, the shift might stop by the destruction of the Syrian chemical weapons. Being taken place in the nearest future, the shift of US-Iran a relation is expected to highly influence the balance of regional power for the interest of Iran and Israel. Meanwhile, the regional role of Turkey and the Arab Gulf states is expected to draw backward.
