يعتبر مجال النسيج من أفضل المجالات النية وأكثرها قدرة على استقبال كل جديد وهو من أهم المجالات الفنية التي نتعرض لها في حياتنا اليومية. وعادة ما يستخدم في شقين إما شق نفعي كالملابس والمفروشات والسجاد وآخر جمالي كالمعلقات واللوحات والنسيج المجسم، ولكن الجديد في هذا البحث هو الجمع بين الجانب الجمالي والجانب النفعي وذلك في إنتاج مشغولات نسجية تصلح للاستخدام الفعلي كقطع حلي مع تحقيق الملاءمة الوظيفية لتلك المشغولات والحلي النسجية ويتحقق ذلك من خلال ممارسات تقوم بها الباحثة أثناء النسج وهي: • النسج على نول البرواز مع إضافة مكملات كالخرز والحجارة تعطي ثقل للمشغولة وتسهم في إخراجها بشكل مناسب لاستخدامها. • النسج على هياكل بديلة لنول البرواز مما يعطي للمشغولات قوام أفضل ويجعلها أنسب للاستخدام الفعلي. • النسج على نول البرواز مع إضافة مواد صلبة وشفافة على سطح قطعة الحلي بعد نسجها وفصلها من على النول مثل البولي استر. وهذا من خلال إضافة طبقة رقيقة أو صب قالب على المنسوجة بعد الانتهاء منها ليغير قوامها وخواصها. وهنا تتلخص فكرة البحث في تطبيق بعض الممارسات التجريبية على سطح المشغولة النسجية لتحقيق الملاءمة الوظيفية للحلي النسجية بما يتماشى مع المفهوم المعاصر للتربية الفنية والقائم بشكل أساسي على التجريب والابتكار. \
