استهدفت هذه الدراسة تسليط الضوء على وظيفة التربية في مواجهة ظاهرة المخدرات انطلاقا من أن مسؤولية محاربة هذه الظاهرة والتصدي لها تقع على كل مؤسسات المجتمع وفي مقدمتها التربية. وكذلك التعرف على الظروف التربوية التي أسهمت في تشكيل شخصية المدمن. وقد ظهرت أهمية دراسة ظاهرة المخدرات من جانب التربية في أن مدمن المخدرات قبل أن يكون مدمنا هو ضحية ظروف تربوية سيئة وحصيلة تنشئة اجتماعية خاطئة. ومن الأهمية بمكان أن نقف على وظيفة التربية في خلق ظروف ينمو فيها الفرد نموا يقيه من الوقوع في شر المخدرات وخطرها، وقد تناولت الدراسة لمحة تاريخية مختصرة عن المخدرات وتعريفها وأصنافها وأنواعها، كما تناولت حجم مشكلتها ومدى انتشارها، وأسباب تعاطي المخدرات وآثارها، وبينت وظيفة التربية الوقائي تجاه ظاهرة المخدرات والظروف التي يتكون فيها الفرد. كما بينت الدراسة وظيفة التربية في التصدي لهذه الظاهرة من خلال استعراض الإطار الاجتماعي والثقافي وذلك من خلال جوانب اجتماعية تلخصت في التنشئة الاجتماعية والتعليم وإسهامه في إضعاف الرأي العام المؤيد لتعاطي المخدرات وتقديم الرأي الواعي بإضرار ظاهرة المخدرات من خلال برامج إعلامية مدروسة تتوخى نشر المعلومات والحقائق بظاهرة المخدرات بموضوعية كاملة وذلك عن طريق الأفلام والمسلسلات \
This study is intended to examine the role of education on facing drugs phenomenon based on the responsibility of fighting and confronting this phenomenon. The responsibility is laid on the establishments of the community and education has the foremost responsibility. This study aims at knowing the educational circumstances which contribute in forming the addicted. It also shows the importance of studying drugs phenomenon in terms of that the addicted is firstly a victim of bad educational circumstances and a result of incorrect socially bringing up before being actually addicted. It is of great importance to consider the role of the education in creating circumstances through which the individual grows up shielding against the dangerous of drugs and their bad deeds. The research classifies the drugs and their types as well as the problem and the extent of its spread. The paper states the reasons behind using the drugs. Those reasons are divided into reasons related to the drug user, the family, and the social side. The study explains the preventive education role towards drugs phenomenon taking into consideration the circumstances in which the individual is brought up. The circumstances have effect on the righteousness or deviation of the individual. It also clarifies the role of the education on confronting this phenomenon through presenting the social and cultural framework in three social sides, social bringing up, teaching, and media. Finally, media contributes in providing the public opinion that agrees with drugs using and the conscious opinion that presents the harm of drugs through a studied media plan highlighted in spreading information and facts about drugs objectively through films, and series
