إن حقوق الإنسان ليست مجرد مواثيق وقوانين فحسب، بل هي وعي وممارسة من جانب الفرد داخل مجتمعه. وفي ضوء ما سبق يهتم بحثنا الحالي بتبيان معرفة الشباب لمبادئ حقوق الإنسان واتجاهاتهم وممارساتهم، ومظاهر التمتع بتلك الحقوق أيضا كما جاءت بالإعلان العالمي لحقوق الإنسان (1948). وفي هذا الإطار يطرح البحث عددا من التساؤلات منها: 1- ما مصادر المعرفة بحقوق الإنسان لدى الشباب ؟ 2- هل تختلف اتجاهات الشباب نحو حقوق الإنسان في المجتمع المصري تبعا لاختلاف السمات الشخصية والخلفية الاجتماعية والثقافية؟ 3- إلى أي حد تتجسد مبادئ حقوق الإنسان كما هي في الإعلان العالمي في صورة ممارسات يومية لدى الشباب ؟ 4- ما معوقات ممارسة مبادئ حقوق الإنسان ؟ ويشتمل هذا البحث على ثلاثة فصول: فالفصل الأول يأتي بعنوان "الوعي بحقوق الإنسان، ويتضمن عرضا تحليليا للتراث النظري والأمبيريقي لحقوق الإنسان". ويعرض الفصل الثاني واقع حقوق الإنسان لدى الشباب في المجتمع المصري من خلال تقسيم هذا الفصل إلى مباحث، ويأتي المبحث الأول لعرض الإجراءات المنهجية للبحث، ويناقش المبحث الثاني قضايا عدة منها مفهوم حقوق الإنسان وأنماطها لدى الشباب وأهميتها، وتناول أيضا آليات تعزيز الوعي بحقوق الإنسان، ويستعرض المبحث الثالث اتجاهات الشباب نحو مبادئ حقوق الإنسان السياسية والمدنية والاجتماعية والاقتصادية، وكذلك الثقافية على المستوى النظري، أي كما جاءت في الإعلان العالمي لحقوق الإنسان، وعلى مستوى الممارسة أيضا كما تعكسها بعض الأمثال الشعبية في الحياة اليومية، ويشير المبحث الرابع إلى الممارسات اليومية للشباب لحقوقهم السياسية والمدنية، ومظاهر التمتع بحقوقهم، ويأتي المبحث الخامس بعنوان "حقوق الإنسان بين الواقع والمأمول" لنلقي الضوء فيه على معوقات حصول الإنسان على حقوقه داخل مجتمعه، وتبيان سبل تعزيز وحماية حقوق الإنسان. ويخصص الفصل الثالث والأخير لعرض النتائج العامة للدراسة ومناقشتها. \
Human rights are not just covenants, declarations, legislations and laws but awareness and practicing by an individual within one's society. In the light of the preceding, our present paper is concerned with displaying the extent of youth's knowledge of the principles of human rights, their attitudes, practices, along with the manifestations of enjoying those rights as set forth in the International Declaration of Human Rights of 1948. Within this framework, our paper raises several questions such as: 1- What are the sources of knowledge of human rights among youth? 2- Do the youth' s attitudes towards human rights within the Egyptian society vary according to personal aspects, social and cultural backgrounds? 3- To what extent are the principles of human rights as set forth in the International Declaration embodied in the form of the daily practices of youth? 4- What are the obstacles in the way of practicing the principles of human rights? This research consists of three chapters. The first chapter is titled awareness of human rights, analytical review of the theoretical and empirical legacy of human rights". Chapter two shows the reality of human rights among the youth in the Egyptian society through dividing the chapter into five subjects, the first subject reviews the methodological procedures of the research. The second subject discusses several issues such as the concept of human rights along with its patterns among youth, sources of knowledge of the human rights and their importance and deals with the mechanisms of boosting awareness of the human rights among youth. Subject three displays youth' s attitudes towards principles of political, civil, social, economic and cultural human rights on the theoretical level, i.e. as set forth in the International Declaration of Human Rights and also on the practical level as reflected in some folk proverbs in the daily life. As for the fourth subject, it taclkes the daily practices of human rights among youth by highlighting the youth’s daily practices of civil and political rights and manifestations of enjoying their social, economic and cultural rights. The fifth subject titled "Human rights between the Reality and the Expected" in which we highlight the forms of violations of humanr rights and obstacles in the way of obtaining one’s rights within his/her society and methods of enforcement and protection of human rights. The third and last chapter is dedicated for displaying the findings of the study along with its discussion.
