تسلط الدراسة الضوء على شخصية الشيخ ضاري بن برغش بن طوالة كنموذج يندرج في إطار أدبيات المشيخة والفروسية. فقد كان ضاري شيخاً لفرع الأسلم من قبيلة شمر، وله صولات وجولات في الدفاع عن أهله وأبناء قبيلته، والذود عن حياضها ومصالحها. وتعرض الدراسة لبيئته وعصره والظروف والأحداث التي تأثر بها. وكان له دور في صياغتها وصنعها. كما تتناول الدراسة من خلال أدبيات المشيخة علاقة الشيخ ضاري بكثير من شيوخ القبائل وشخصيات أخرى. وتركز الدراسة في أدبيات الفروسية على نماذج من فروسية ضاري وتبين نخوته وعلاقاته بأبناء عمومته عبر الجزيرة العربية، كما تلقي الضوء على أدبيات فروسيته التي ميزته وأذاعت صيته، وأبرزت الجوانب الإنسانية في شخصيته وترصد المعارك التي خاض غمارها، وتوضح دوره بها. وتعنى الدراسة بدوره في فيد والجميمة وجراب والجوف، وتشير إلى وقعة الجليدة. وتهتم الدراسة بصلات الشيخ ضاري بالكويت ومشاركته في الدفاع عنها بعد معركة حمض. وتشير إلى الغارات التي شنها، ودوره في معركة الجهراء، وتبين ما ترتب عليها من نتائج. كما تتناول علاقاته بالإنجليز ومحاولتهم الاستفادة منه وجماعته في المجهود الحربي البريطاني، وقراره عدم الرضوخ لرغباتهم، واعتبار تصرفه هذا خيانة لا تغتفر. وتعرض الدراسة لدوره في الدفاع عن حائل، وسقوطه عن صهوة جواده شامخا دفاعا عن مرتع صباه وما يؤمن به من قيم نفيسة ومبادئ سامية. \
This study highlights the personality of Sheikh Dhari Bin Barghash Bin Tawalah as an example in the frame of Sheikhdom and knighthood literature. Dhari was a sheikh of the Al-Aslam branch of Shammer tribe, he had a highly epical career in defending his kinship and tribal family members and their interests. This study shows his environment, age, conditions and events that affected him. He had a role in forming and establishing them. This study tackles, through sheikhdom literature, the relationship between Sheikh Dhari and several tribal sheikhs and other personalities. This study concentrates in knighthood literature on examples of Dhari knighthood, and states his magnanimity and relation with cousins through Arabia, and so highlights knighthood literature that made him eminent and famous, and showed human aspects of his personality, and traces battles he went through and his role therein. This study is concerned with his role in Feid, Al-Gamema, Gerab and Al-Gouf, and refers to Al-Galeeda Incident. Sheikh Dhari bin Tawalah establishes the focal point for this study. It reveals his relationship with Kuwait, particularly his efforts of defending Kuwait after 'Homs' battle. His role in 'Al-Jahra' battle and its aftermath is evidently explored. Sheikh bin Tawalah's relationship with the English is also drawn; particularly when the attempt was made to use him and his people during the British Military endeavors in the region. When he decided not obey the Britishs' commands, they declared his act as an unforgivable act of disloyalty. The study highlights 'Sheikh Dhari bin Tawalah's role in defending the city of 'Hail', principally, when he fall of his horse, with high confidence and superb moral so as to safeguard his place of childhood and noble ethics and principles \
